Enable Automatic Charging with CURRENT Charge

This guide explains how to enable or disable identification on your charging point to use automatic charging (Plug & Charge)

In most cases, you need to use a mobile app, a charging card or tag (RFID) to start and stop a charging session.

If you would like your vechile to start charging automatically as soon as the charging cable is connected, you can disable the authentication requirement in CURRENT Charge.

Before proceeding, make sure that no one else has access to your charging point.
When identification is disabled, the charging point will automatically start charging whenever a charging cable is connected. This means that anyone with access to the charging point can charge an electric vechile without identifying themselves.

  1. Open the CURRENT Charge app on  your phone.
  2. Tap Home in the in the bottom-left corner.
  3. Your charger will appear at the top of the app. Tap on it.

You will now see the setting Identification required, which is currently set to On.

  1. Tap the toggle to switch to turn it Off.

Automatic charging is now enabled for your charging point.
