How to add a charging card or tag (RFID)

Please note: This guide assumes that you are standing next to a charging point.

If you want to start charging without using the CURRENT Charge app, you can link an RFID charging card or tag to your CURRENT Charge account.

CURRENT Charge supports all types of RFID charging cards and tags accepted by the charger's card reader.

  1. Log in to the CURRENT Charge app
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap Charging tags
  4. Tap Add charging tag
  5. Select the charging station you are currently near. Make sure location services are enabled, as the app needs to know your current location.                                                     
  6. Select the charging point you want to use.                         
  7. Hold your card or tag against the charger's card reader.

    Note: Some chargers require the charging cable to be connected to both the vechile and the charger before you can register a charging card or tag.

Once completed, the charging card or tag will be linked to your CURRENT Charge account.
